Parent Acknowledgement and Consent of Required School Information
Florida law requires school districts to publish important information for public school students and their parents/guardians. This information includes:
- Student & Family Policy Guide and Code of Student Conduct and Discipline; and
- Electronic Information Services (EIS) Acceptable Use Agreement for Students and School Board Policy 518, “Use of Electronic Information Services and School Office Equipment.”
These documents are available online at https://www.vcsedu.org/parents/beginning-school-year-forms. A hard copy each document is also available at your school’s front office.
Open Enrollment and Intent to Enroll
Re-enrollment period is April 1st-15th for returning students. April 16thst– April 30th is the Open Enrollment period for anyone interested in enrollment. If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class, grade level, or building, all applicants will have an equal chance of being admitted through a random selection process on May 15th. If all slots are not filled by April 30, applications will continue to be accepted. Should enrollment exceed RMA Florida’s capacity, the school will hold a lottery to determine who will be enrolled and who will be placed on a waiting list in order of selection. Applications received after April 30th will be considered on a space by space basis only.

Enrollment Eligibility
RMA is a free, nonsectarian, open enrollment charter school. RMA does not discriminate in admissions based on gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, academic, artistic, or athletic ability, or the district the child would otherwise attend.
RMA is open to all eligible students residing in the Volusia County School District. RMA will enroll any eligible student who submits a timely application, unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class grade level, or building, in such case, all applicants shall have an equal chance of being admitted through a random selection process in the form of a lottery. Enrollment preference may be given as outlined in Florida Statute (1002.33(10)(d)).
Parents have the flexibility to enroll or withdraw their child from RMA at any time during the academic school year. Enrollment is open throughout the year allowing any qualifying student accessibility to all of the RMA educational program offerings.
